The Student band has made the first apperance on 1974 with conductor Mr. St. Dolianitis. At the beginning the student band has the shape of small ensemble that consist of students musicians, that were not members of the Band. The student band used to give performances every year on the closing of the school year, in the ceremony hall of the Philarmonic building. After Mr. Dolianitis, as conductor undertake Mr. G. Kourkoulos that guide the student band to succees year by year and since 1986 Mr. Sp. dolianitis is the Conductor. The repertoire of the student band consists of classic, light, modern, cinema, music and also pieces from musicals (there are many cooperations with singers, and a cooperation with the children choir of Corfu Minicipallity). There are many performances of the Student band in Corfu and in Greece in general, and also abroad (Hannover EXPO 2000, Germany). Nowadays the student band has evolve in a concert band that consist of 70-80 young musicians, that renew through the schools of the philarmonic. The conductor of the Concert Band is Mr. Sp. Dolianitis
