Marcia Funebre
(Funeral March)
D. Andronis (1866-1918)

Every year, on the morning of Holly Saturday, the sky is covered by a thin sheet of clouds and there is a spring wind, that transport the smell of the Easter and of the glorifying incense. It is the time of the St. Spyridon procession.
The silent mass of people made a union with the sab atmosphere, while watching piecefully the procession. A charmful atmosphere of mysticophathy, driven by the sounds of the funeral sounds. The marcia (march of procession) of Andonis, (The funeral march or in latins "Marcia funebre"), just fits to this atmosphere of the morning sad.
It is a fine harmonic sound that create at the band's instruments one large melancholic landscape. it is a unique hearing experience for those who could feel the Easter and the Passions of the Jesus. For those whose feelings made them able to listen to their soul depth.
It is not a mourning, neither a rending. it is a monolog of teh soul that go down to the darkness. It is Adronsi himself, in his solitude and in the piece that he always wanted.
It is his warm tears over the music sheet, on the time that he is too stired, on the time that he listened to the drums of the fates.....
